The ILSI-UG Food Safety & Nutrition Training Center formerly ICD-UGI FSNTC, of the department of nutrition and food science, University of Ghana organizing two short course as follows:
Food Safety for Nutrition and other January 14-18-2019 Health Professionals (FSN)
HACCP System January 21- 25, 2019
Course Description: FSN: Introduction to the principles and application of food and safety for the prevention of food borne illness and associated malnutrition. Includes basic food and water microbiology, good hygienic practice. etc
HACCP: Application of hazard analyses and critical services, hotel kitchen, food safety management system.
Target Group: Staff of food industry, catering services, hotel kitchen, food vendors, CEPS, Police, hospital , school canteens, marketing officers , students and the general public. Food safety is everyone's business.
No previous formal education is required. Interested persons should however be able to read and write English.
