University of Education signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Somuah Information Systems Company Limited (SISCO)
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Somuah Information Systems Company Limited (SISCO) on Software License Subscription and Maintenance Agreement.
This is to strengthen the working relationship between the two parties and also help UEW develop its operations with regards to financial administration.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday, 9th May, 2018 at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, North Campus, Winneba. The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, said the signing of the MOU was long overdue, and expressed joy that it had finally come to fruition.
In his remarks, Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Samuel K. Somuah underscored that proper financial administration was very important for the operations of a world class University such as UEW. He added that SISCO has continuously provided the appropriate software for the financial benefit of the University over the last decade or so.
“I must say that we are very proud of this relationship which has proved very beneficial to both parties. We are also very pleased to be here today to sign this license subscription and maintenance agreement hoping that this will allow us provide even much better support going forward.” He said.
Assistant Registrar, Legal Services of the University, Mr. Robert Twene Esq, expressed happiness about the collaboration and said he was proud to be associated with the whole agreement. He said “I am very grateful for this partnership”.
In his address, the Ag. Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. James Kagya-Agyemang said it was very good that UEW had been able to sign that contract. “I hope with this agreement, you will help us develop our University so we can also help you develop your company; thus, feel free to ask the University for anything you would need to enhance your work.” He commented.
